Stockholm International Team Race Regatta (SITR)

Hosted by Gamla Stans Yacht Sällskap (GSYS), the Stockholm International Team Race Regatta 2026 will bring together top team racers from some of the world’s most distinguished yacht clubs.

The event will again be held May 21–24 on Riddarfjärden, right in the center of Stockholm.

SITR 2026 also serves as the official warm-up event for the World Sailing Team Racing World Championship, taking place in the same spectacular location this August.

A premier J/80 team racing event

This year’s regatta once again welcomes world-class teams, including competitors from New York Yacht Club, Royal Thames Yacht Club, Annapolis Yacht Club, and Newport Harbor Yacht Club.  

SITR showcases the unique sailing opportunities that Stockholm offers: steady winds, fresh water, and a stunning urban race arena surrounded by history, culture, and vibrant city life.

Riddarfjärden — the 2026 Championship Arena

For 2026, all racing will take place directly outside Stockholm’s iconic City Hall on Riddarfjärden, the exact arena that will host the Team Racing World Championship on August 12–16. 

Few sailing venues in the world offer such a dramatic setting: top-level team racing in the heart of a capital city, with all of Stockholm’s attractions just steps away.
